Growing up on 18 acres of land, Tom developed a passion for nature and agriculture at a very young age. It was no surprise when he graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Horticulture from the University of Illinois. Tom has 18 years of experience as a nursery manager for a large wholesale nursery in Northern Illinois. Here at Home Nursery, Tom is responsible for 350 acres of container shrub and tree production at two farms in Illinois and Tennessee. Tom is never afraid to try something new or admit when something didn’t work, which has been integral in our expansion of production since he began with the company in 2017. He always keeps an eye on quality, the environment, and profitability. Outside of work you are likely to find Tom kicking the soccer ball around with his daughter, woodworking, or planning his family’s next Disney vacation.
