First Editions Hibiscus-Review of New Varieties

Home Nursery is excited to offer a selection of First Edition plants. First Editions are premium, one-of-a-kind flowering plants that offer gardeners new options for color- and retailers a profitable new way to provide it.

Included in this program are four shrub Hibiscus. These are easy to grow plants that offer picturesque blooms throughout the summer and well into fall.  Hibiscus Bali, Fiji, Hawaii and Tahiti are four new varieties that are as beautiful as their namesakes.

First Editions Bali Hibiscus

Bali has a beautiful white flower and blooms July through September. Its semi-double blossoms are accentuated by a purple-red center and lush green foliage.

               Hibiscus syriacus ‘Minfren’Hibiscus syriacus ‘Minfren’

               Full Sun

               Color: White with purple/ red center

               Height: 5-8 feet

               Spread: 4-7 feet

               Zone: 5-8

 

First Editions Fiji Hibiscus

The blooms start as a medium pink, then open to semi-double flowers that finally fade to a lighter pink hue. The deep red center dramatically highlights the delicate blooms.

First Editions Hawaii

Hawaii’s large showy blooms are true blue accentuated with a red-purple heart. This plant will flower from July through September.

               Spread: 4-7 feet

               Zone: 5-8

 

First Editions Tahiti

With its large, trumpet- shaped blossoms, First Editions Tahiti Hibiscus is sure to stand out in any garden. It has semi-double blooms that are deep pink-purple accented with a dramatic deep red center. Tahiti flowers from July through October.
